    In this study, we walk carefully through Luke’s account of the temptation of Jesus, paying close attention to its literary context, theological structure, and relationship to the other Synoptic accounts. Why does Luke place the temptation after the baptism and genealogy? Why does Satan challenge Jesus with the words, “If you are the Son of God”? Why does Jesus answer from Deuteronomy? And why does Luke end the sequence at Jerusalem?
